About the Job:
We’re seeking a Procurement Officer to join our Supply Chain team. This is a key operational role focused on sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and ensuring compliance with food safety and procurement standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to support production and drive efficiency across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase ingredients and packaging materials.

  • Identify and onboard new suppliers to support innovation and supply chain resilience.

  • Conduct site visits to assess supplier capabilities and ensure alignment with quality standards.

  • Monitor commodity and raw material market trends to inform purchasing decisions.

  • Lead initial pricing discussions and support early-stage negotiations.

  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring performance and compliance.

  • Coordinate deliveries to align with production schedules.

  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Collaborate with QA, production, logistics, and commercial teams.

  • Conduct supplier audits and maintain quality control agreements.

  • Evaluate supply chain costs and identify improvement opportunities.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years of experience in procurement preferably withing a food/dairy manufacturing industry.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in procurement/supply chain.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.

  • Highly competent with IT systems and the MS office suite.

  • Knowledge of supply chain operations and food safety standards.

  • Knowledge and understanding of customs, excise and regulatory requirements relating to the supply of goods (ROI, UK).
